Wetlands and Orange Glitter Pumpkin cards!

I have been busy today in between the regular drama and crises that are my life while caring for my 91 year old mother who lives next door and helping get my 4 year old granddaughter from pre- k to daycare each day!  Today it was the telephone line being out of order that connects mom to a life alert system and getting her used to having her medicine box delivered! For Brooklyn it was getting her to her dance class from daycare!  On top of all that, it was a very close win for the Cardinals in the play- offs!  They pulled it out of the fire, though!

So, let's get down to important stuff like this beautiful orange glitter pumpkin card!  I cased this from my Upline for my card class this Saturday.  It's an easy process to make this pumpkin with some sizzix adhesive sheet and the wide oval punch!  First remove one layer of paper from the adhesive sheet, then apply cardstock to the sticky side. Punch 3 wide ovals from the paper and remove remaining paper from sizzix sheet.  Place ovals sticky side down in container of orange glitter.  You will need to push the paper into the glitter to get good coverage.

The background is Baked Brown Sugar, one of the new incolors, teamed up with Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.  I hope you will want to come stamp with us this Saturday and make this card!

How about this striking card that I cased from Ann Shach!?   She used brayers to apply the colors but I sponged the colors on this card.  It would take a lot of cleaning to switch back and forth between colors with the brayers at a class so I chose the sponges.  I think it turned out well.  I am really in love with this Wetlands stamp set.  I knew I "needed" it the first time I layed eyes on it!  This is a nice combination of Marina Mist, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron!

I did all the stamping in Black Stazon, then sponged the colors using a torn post it note as a mask.  I stamped the goose again on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out minus it's legs.  I then snailed it down over the original image and like magic, it has legs again!  I realized after I took the photo that I didn't have a greeting on this card.  I will decide on something by Saturday!  Hope to see you then!
