Well it's been a busy day getting caught up on some personal card making! After getting the birthday girl, my granddaughter, Brooklyn, to daycare I came home and started stamping. The first card is one I made for my cousin who is celebrating his big 7-0. I used the circle flip card thinlet die along with the word ,yay, and star, scallop circle and arrows! I used sweater weather designer series paper to make it masculine. Happy birthday wishes are from petite pairs, an absolutely have to have set! You can never have too much happy is from Yippee Skippee which we received at convention!
When you flip it open, here is a 70 cut from champagne glimmer paper, layered on whisper white, soft sky and crushed curry! Bet he will not get another like it....lol! Behoove he enjoys the card and hope you did, too!
The next card is for Brooklyn who turned the big 5 today! Her party is on Sunday so I will wait to give her the card and presents then since her mom gave her a bushel basket full of Monster high toys this evening! She received another monster high doll from her uncle Scott (my son) and aunt Amanda from Georgia. Funny how the stages change! I think last year it was Dora the Explorer and now she's all about the monster high!
I tried to include all the things she loves on cards. She's my little card maker and always wants a bow and some glitter somewhere on the card. Sometimes she just wants to cover the card with glitter! I guess you can never have too much bling! I used our pop and cuts XL Bigz die with the pop up insert to make this cute little pop up card! I made 5 cupcakes with the cupcake builder punch and embossed and glittered them. On top of each cupcake is a candle with a champagne glimmer flame. I hope she likes this card as much as she did her queen mousie card from last year!
