Luminary card!

Is this not just the cutest card?  A Christmas card that can be turned into a luminary with a battery operated votive candle!  My upline made this one but I'm working on it for my stamp a stack class!  The center is cut with the festive flurries framelets.  She stamped the nativity scene with versamark on vellum cardstock and embossed with Early Espresso embossing powder.

Here's a side view where you can see the votive.

Easy Christmas Cards!

I've been working on some easy to do cards for my upcoming Stamp a Stack which will be held on the same day as the mystery class day in December !  My upline has been busy making things she's seen on the internet and since she is the great upline that she is, she shares her ideas with me!  Isn't this the cutest card you've seen in awhile?  Mrs. Santa's dress all decked out with Dazzling Diamonds and Glimmer Paper!  The dress is cut with the Dress up framelet and the collar is made by cutting the top of the dress again and then punched with the circle scallop punch.  The little very vanilla trim is the bottom of the dress cut again and pulled slightly below the first one.  I used the ovals framelets for the red and white ovals and the dotted embossing folder as well as Petite Pairs stamp set.  You can come make 2 of these cards at my Stamp a Stack!

I was amazed at this card when I realized it was made completely from Crumb Cake cardstock!  Texture and shading make the difference and cause the layers to stand out!  Serene silhouettes is stamped in early espresso and the birds have Cherry cobbler dazzling details on them.  Lots of sponging on the stamped and embossed layers with Crumb Cake classic ink is an easy step!  You could make a bunch of these in a hurry!  Make 2 of them at my Stamp a Stack and see if this is YOUR Christmas card!

Don't forget the weekly specials going on right now!

Well, that was easy!

Here are the festive flurries ornament kits I ordered for my lucky Christmas Trimmings class attendees!  Look at all that gorgeous product, large rhinestones, glimmer paper die cuts, ribbon and die cut snowflakes!  I watched the video on the SU! Website and decided this was going to be really easy!  I got out the hot glue gun ( what would we do without hot glue?) and had an ornament in no time at all!

Here are the pieces punched out and folded.  They are prescored so no sweat here!  Even the glimmer paper snowflake is prescored!

A few minutes and some hot glue later, here's an ornament! Oh Stampin'Up! How do I love you, let me count the snowflake ornaments..........!

Give me a call to attend Friday or Saturday, spots are filling up quickly!

What Can You Do With Washi Tape?

Are you wondering what you can do with those colorful rolls of Washi Tape?  Take a look at this adorable cards that I just found on the home page of Stampin'Up!  Use the new Mosaic punch to punch a negative image in Silver Glimmer paper and dangle over rows of Washi Tape for a cute little ornament!  Next is the same punch used to punch out the mosaic shapes from cardstock with Washi Tape on it.  So many possibilities with that idea!  How cute is that tree decorated with rows of Washi Tape!  The tree is a triangle easily cut with the pennant die.  The last card has the diagonal stripes of Washi tape combined with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder!  Great stuff from Stampin'Up!

Merry Little Christmas

Hey there. Hope you've had a good Sunday!  I spent a little time stamping up some left over cards from my last class.  The Merry Little Christmas simply created kit has such bright and cheery cards!  I saw a sample my upline made and cased this stepped up version of the card.  Instead of the verse on the front I stamped the snowman from Snow Day!  One of my favorites!  I put the verse on the inside.  A little piece of knotted stitched grosgrain ribbon makes a cute little scarf.  This coastal cabana and real red combo with exclusive designer paper really stands out.  Finish the bright look with red polka dot envelope liners.

The kit has everything you need to make 8 cards .  Just add ink and adhesive.

The Merry Christmas is from the Naughty and Nice rotary stamp in the Holiday catalog!

Merry Christmas!

Here's a beautiful card from the front page of Stampin'Up!  What a simple yet elegant card!  The background is embossed with the mosaic embossing folder.  The word merry is cut with the expressions thinlets die and a rustic snowflake from the festive flurries framelets.  I'm not sure where the card originated so I can't find the details but it looks like some strips of designer paper from the DSP stacks and a cute little Cherry cobbler bakers twine bow!  I don't think I would want to make too many of these but what a nice card for those special people on your list!

Card File!

Another busy day getting ready for the craft fair at Mulkeytown tomorrow!  I am in charge of Brooklyn for a few days while her mommy attends a criminology conference!  So, she will have to go with me to the event!  Her first vendor fair!  While she was at daycare today I hurried and made this card file.  I saw the box on Patty Bennett's blog awhile back and asked her where the box came from.  It was Hobby Lobby, so I looked at our local store and found it!  They are a bit pricey but were half price so, I decided to treat myself!

It went together quite quickly with the envelope punch board that Stampin' Up! Offers now!  Since the box was already painted and had that cute little knob on it, all I had to do was make file cards!

I used some of my retired textured cardstock and retired designer paper to make the filing cards.  Then I had fun filing my cards that I will offer for sale tomorrow!

Here's the neat tool!  The envelope punch board!

Thank you card!

I really liked this card when I made it for a class and again when I pulled out an extra kit and made it for a friend!  I love the combination of Island Indigo and soft suede.  The background is embossed with the Beautiful Baroque embossing folder and I used Field Flowers to stamp on the labels framelets shape.  I cut a mask with 2 different sizes of framelets to sponge the center of the shape!  I stamped the flower on scrap paper and cut out for extra dimension and added dazzling diamonds for some bling!  The small oval punch fits nicely into the mosaic punch for a cute little matt.  A little crumb cake bow adds a finishing touch!

More black and white!

Here are two more swaps I received at convention last July!  I love all these black and white cards!  Theses stampers are again making use of the Modern Medley Designer Paper.  This nice card was made by Emma Soltren of Wilkes Barr, Pennsylvania.  She has used a strip of our beautiful black chevron ribbon to make the banner flag.

Another gorgeous card with Modern Medley DSP!  Such a cute wedding card!  This card is by Brynn Thornburgh.

Be on the lookout for another weekly special tomorrow!

Black and White swaps!

I've spent a lot of time today cleaning up other peoples messes and getting my stamp class ready for tomorrow!  So, I didn't get anything new stamped but thought it would be a good time to show you what I'm planning for stamp class in December.  These are swaps I received at convention last July.

For stamp class (mystery card class) in December I'm featuring black and white cards.  I think these are so elegant.  Both of these cards were made by Cathy Seal from Bloomington, Mn.  I got lucky when I swapped for these cards!  So pretty!  This one is Flower Garden digital image and Beautiful Baroque embossing folder.

The next card is the apothecary Art set that carried over from last years Occasions catalog and the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  The opening is cut with the labels framelets die.  It's hard to tell but it appears that these images are all done with My Digital Studio since there are images available there that aren't found elsewhere!

Hope to see you tomorrow at mystery card class.  We are gonna make some beautiful Christmas cards!  Give me a call, I have a few spots left!

Joyous Christmas!

I decided to change my poinsettia card just a little.  I really didn't like the greeting so looked around to see what I could come up with!  I saw my apothecary framelets and checked to see If the greeting would fit!  It did and I believe it really improves this card!  I love this set!  By stamping and embossing two of the poinsettias and cutting them out, you can make a 3-d image!  I also gold embossed the leaves on pear pizzazz and cut them out.  I added a little 2 inch strip of season of style designer paper which seems to really add a finishing touch!

I'm really enjoying using the naturals white cardstock for the base of my cards.  It has more body than whisper white so it makes a great cardstock to build your card on!

Here's a great time saver for making your Christmas cards or any type of card!  Have you chosen your Christmas card design yet?  These precut and scored card bases will give you a head start so order some today!
