Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

I've seen several stampers online using the new Blends alcohol markers to color the black and white Petal Passion Designer Series Paper! I decided to give it a try and found it is so fun and easy! The background is colored with dark Crumbcake and the flowers are a variety of colors! It's so easy to color with these markers and there is a color lifter that can help with shading!

The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet and punched with the new 1 3/8" scallop circle punch in the Occasions catalog.

Beautiful Peacock

I'm planning a stamp class on January 27th at 1:00 pm at my Stampin trailer! I decided to pick out simple yet pretty cards for some fun, easy stamping! Here is the first one using the Beautiful Peacock set that can be yours free with a $50 purchase! The Designer paper is Petal Passion from the new Ocassions catalog and is black and white! The sentiment is embossed in white and the punch is the new 1 3/8" scalloped circle. I used both whisper white and thick whisper white cardstock! My inspiration came from a card I saw on Facebook but I can't find the name of the person who made it! If I run across it again I'll be sure to share.

  It's always exciting to get the orange box in the mail! These cute little Valentine cards were in the kit with lots of beautiful ribbon and die cut elements and enamel shapes! Party pandas!

This cute little guy is from the Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration set which is free with a $50 merchandise purchase. The background is designer paper called Whole Lot of Lovely and colored in with Old Olive Blends! My photography is not the best but it does add a lot to the card to highlight with coloring!

The ribbon is Lemon Lime twist which blends nicely with the paper!

Apron Builder Framelets

I found this cute little note flip pad that I purchased at Walmart awhile back tucked away in my drawer! The apron from the Apron Builder Framelets fits nicely on the front! The notebook has colored dividers that can be moved around when you open the binder ring. This could make a cute little memory book or kitchen tips and recipes for a new bride! It's a quick and easy project that's fun to design!

                                  

Apron Builder Framelets

I fell in love with the Apron Builder Framelets and Apron of Love stamp set as soon as I saw it! I knew I had to own it as soon as I could! It's been hard getting my motivation moving with it being winter and the health road blocks that we've had lately but I made it to my stamp table tonight and broke out the "apron goodies"!

I think these little apron boxes would be cute gifts or table favors for any spring occasion! Of course the apron will add a cute accent to a card also! I will definitely have to create an apron card!

I used Whole Lot of Love designer series paper to make the apron and hearts, tangerine tango and Pear Pizzazz for pockets, oven mitten and bows. The utensils are cut from copper foil paper! The apron strings and box are basic black. I used liquid Tombow multipurpose glue to attach the box. The box is a 1" X 4" piece of Basic Black scored narrowly around the edges and about 1 1/8" at each end to fit inside the apron pieces! The dimensions could be changed according to what you want to put in the box! Celebrate You

I love the new Sale-A-bration set, Heartfelt blooms stamped on glossy cardstock! I was looking around Pinterest and found a similar card by Janet Wakeland and decided to give it a try! She has a Video showing how to use the Stampin Spots to ink the large flower stamp by using the spots like little sponges to apply ink directly to the stamp! You first ink the entire flower with the Daffodil Delight, then apply Real Red in the center in a circular motion. The Stampin Spots are part of the new Tutti-Fruitti Suite in the new Ocassions catalog! I used the gold Faceted gems for the center of each flower.

Double time stamping with Lots of Lavendar!

I don't know about you but I'm tired of the cold weather and ready for springtime! I would like to see some flowers blooming like the ones in the Lots of Lavendar stamp set! I chose Sweet Sugarplum which is one of this years retiring In Colors and one of my favorites!

I added a few of our new adhesive backed sequins from the Tutti Fruitti suite! This was my first time to use the sequins and I really like them! 

I also painted over the flowers with Wink of Stella for some sparkle!

                           

    

             Double time Stampin is a neat technique that is easy to do and makes folks wonder how you did that! Simply cut your layers, then stack the white layers and stamp over the edges as desired. Then reinsert your colored layer and line up your images. You can also do this with three levels for triple time stamping!

Petal Palette Quick and Easy card!

I've not had much time for stamping for awhile with my husband being sick and needing some extra care! We are hopeful that his foot is getting better but he has to be completely cleared before they will discharge him! Just thought I needed a little therapy tonight and also, that it would be a good chance to show how easily you can create a card! 

I looked through some of my recent purchases and found the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper stack! It has some beautiful prints that can be used for the front of your card and all you need to do is add a focal point! This design has Sweet Sugarplum and Old Olive so I made the card base and first layer from those colors. I found the sentiment in the new occasions catalog set Petal Palette! It was easy to pull out my Sweet and Sassy framelets and cut the hearts to go with that phrase! I found a scrap of a doily on the table from another project and some linen thread to dress it up! I over stamped the bird from this new set in Sweet Sugarplum. It was a quick and easy card that anyone would love to receive! So, that's your easy Stampin project for the today!

Pizza Boxes!

Happy Sunday to everyone! Another rather gloomy day here in Illinois although it is now above freezing! We have a had some light sleet off and on but looking for some warmer weather this week! Spring can not get here quick enough!  I wanted to show you a carry over product today! The cute little Pizza boxes are available until further notice! Epic Celebrations during Sale-A-Bration

No serious stamping going on here today since we had a trip to the ER! My husband has been having issues with his foot and of course it always gets worse on the weekend! He had already had a dr visit with nothing showing up in the X-rays but an obvious problem since he was having trouble getting his shoe on his foot! The ER doc says its cellulitis so now we have some good antibiotics and the foot elevated! He just has to give the antibiotic a little time to work!

It's still very cold here, my car said 13 degrees when we headed to the ER! We are all the way up to 23 now! An actual heat wave! We are expecting some delightful freezing rain tomorrow but then a warming trend as the week goes on! Myself, I'm ready for spring and tulips and birds chirping!

Stained Glass with Beautiful Day!

I'm hoping everyone is having a great day on this Friday! It's very gloomy here and quite cold but I cheered myself up with some fun stamping time! I saw this stained glass technique on another website and decided to try it with my favorite colors!

I stamped the butterfly from Beautiful Day with Versamark ink on Vellum then sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and melted the powder with my heat gun! After using my blends markers to color the butterflies I cut them out with snips.

The sentiment stamps are photopolymer so I could curve them slightly to fit into the banner punch! How cool is that!

The ovals are cut from the stitched framelets found in the annual catalog! I love that set of framelets!

   

The first card is made with Bermuda Bay and Pool Party cardstock and the new Picture Perfect Party designer paper.  The butterfly is colored with dark and light Bermuda bay and the dark Pool Party Blends. The cardstock base is embossed with the new Perfect Pair textured embossing folders from the new Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from Apron of Love.

                          

The colors of the next card are the dark and light Rich Razzleberry and dark Pink Pirouette Blends with Rich Razzelberry and Pink Pirouette cardstock. Beautiful Day

Hope everyone is doing well on this frigid morning! I personally can't wait for spring and weather warm enough to go outside in a t-shirt! At this point, we at least haven't had snow or ice but I think I heard some bad words from the weather man so stay tuned for that fun! 

Winter time is rough on a lot of people and I know personally what it does to folks with depression or seasonal affective disorder! As I commented before, be thankful if you are one of those folks who can enjoy the holidays and come through it feeling joyful! I, personally, have a rough time with holidays due to a lot of reasons that I won't get into at this time! I do have hope of some day enjoying them again! So, enough of that talk! What do I do to cheer myself up during these bleak days? One thing that is particularly helpful is exercise! I am planning to get myself back in my routine of exercise after having some mild illness and the tragically unexpected loss of my 15year old cat that I loved dearly! None of this is easy but I take one step at a time knowing that better days are ahead and I have a lot of living to do! I, also, hope, that by talking about those things I can help someone else who is having trouble getting through each day!

So what else do I do to make myself happy? I STAMP! We have a new occasions catalog with lots of beautiful stamps and matching products! I love to be able to create projects with all the beautiful matching products! I stamped this card with the Beautiful Day set and I tried to copy the card on the catalog cover. I used the free designer paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalog and stamped Rose Red ink on Rose Red cardstock. i tucked half of a little doily in the corner and tied a bow with bakers twine. The butterfly is stamped with Pool Party and colored with our new Blends. I colored one of our whire perfect accents with the Blends for a little extra pizzazz! So, yes this card makes me happy even though my hands aren't too steady and it certainly isn't perfect! 

Lastly, my apologies to my OCD friends who can't stand layers that aren't squared up! This is the way it is on the catalog.
