New catalog!

Here's a peak at the new 2014-2015 catalog!  I can't show you the inside for a little while, but take my word for it, it's full of great products you're gonna love!  I have already picked out my favorite new stamp and favorite new bundle!  Can't wait to share it with everyone!

I've been a little off the radar lately.  If you are wondering why, here are the details.  Last Saturday, my husband and I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to meet up with our son and his wife so we could spend a few hours with them.  They were there to run in the Rock and Roll marathon.  Since they are stationed at Ft. Stewart in Georgia, we don't get to see them other than Christmas!  We came back on Sunday afternoon just in time for evening church.

Scott and Amanda after their marathon!

On Monday, I went with 6 other SU! Demos to Hazelwood, Mo to attend the new catalog premier.  What an exciting day!  I received a copy of the new catalog, the Stampin' Success magazine and a new stamp set!

All this excitement was a little too much for me I guess, because I came down with a pretty bad bladder infection.  So, now after a visit to the dr. for some antibiotics, I'm trying to rest up and get back in the swing of things.  Hopefully I will be back to creating and posting neat stuff for you very soon!

Bitty Butterfly punch!

Butterflies are one of my favorite images for decorating everything.  The Bitty Butterfly punch is one of my favorite punches!  I saw the concept of using the negative punched image on Pinterest.  I used a card by Julie Davidson as inspiration.  Punch the butterfly then center the Artisan label punch over it.  Use another Artisan label under it.  I used the newest In color collection but you could use anything you have to make a beautiful card.

Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Incolor prints and patterns stack
Ink: Black Stazon, Coastal Cabana
Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Loving Thoughts, # 128436 from 2013-2014 catalog

Happy Day Volkswagon card!

Just love this punched Volkswagon card that I cased from a swap my friend received at convention last summer.  I used Pacific Point cardstock so that it would look like my Friend, Della's, car.  This is one of the cards we will be making Saturday at my punch and framelet class.  You can also get the class in the mail.  Message me for details.  Lreaney@4siwi.com or 618-559-3785

Hello There kitties!

Thanks to Carol Payne for finding this cute, whimsical cat card! A lady named Diane Roberts posted the original version.  It's made with the new Banners Framelets dies in the Occasions catalog.  Sometimes I feel like the cat in the middle, lol!  Actually quite a lot lately.  You can make this card Saturday at my stamp class

I'm feeling better each day and will go back to the eye dr tomorrow.  It wasn't major surgery but the sedation and the stress seem to have taken it's toll on me!  I'm hoping a little stamping and get back to my regular routine will help me.  Hope to see you on Saturday!

Flower Fusion sizzlet!

Here's a cute little card I found on the Stampin'Up! Blog by Amy O'neil.  The flowers are made with the flower fusion sizzlet die and the Big Shot.  Some ribbon, a piece of Designer Paper and a little banner with a sentiment stamped on it make a simple but pretty card.  She topped it off with a little bling by using large rhinestones for the flower centers!  Everything you need to make this card is available on my online store at www.lindareaney.stampinup.net

Did you know that if you sign up to be a demo right now by purchasing the starter kit for $99 you can receive a free convention registration?   I can't attend this year but I can hook you up with a roommate.

I was able to have my eye surgery today and so far so good!  I go back to the doctor tomorrow to get the patch off and see how the eye is doing.  I have never experienced anything like this!  I was able to see in my eye while they placed a little vacuum in there and sucked up the glob of tissue that was obstructing my view!  All I can say is, wow!  Modern scientific technology is something else!

Another Use for Designer Series Paper!

Look what Stampin'Up! Staff did with an old piece of furniture and some Designer Series Paper!  The table was being thrown out but these gals saved it!  They sanded and painted then punched lots of little hexagons and applied with Mod Podge.  After the design was completed then they coated it with a layer of polyurethane.  How neat and unique!  Do you have any extra DSP that you are hoarding!  Break it out and save an old piece of furniture or just start small with a little tray or other wooden piece.  Be sure to post it on Facebook or send me a picture of it!

Here's your weekly deal!  Go to www.lindareaney.stampinup.net to shop in my store.

So, my eye surgery is scheduled for 7:30 tomorrow (Thursday).  Hopefully I can get back on schedule with blogging and stamping and planning my next event after the next couple of days!

Zoo Babies!

I found this adorable card by Veronica Fletcher Zalis on the Stampin' Up! Website.  The stamp set is the adorable Zoo Babies!  What a lovely soft colored baby card!  Who wouldn't be delighted by receiving this!  You can order these stamps and supplies at www.lindareaney.stampinup.net

On a personal note, I'm still working on the lamb tutorial as promised, but it is slow going due to an eye problem I'm having.  As we all know, life is unpredictable and can get complicated.  I noticed a large floater in my right eye about a month ago so I went to my eye doctor as soon as possible.  He then referred me to the retinal surgeon.  I had that appointment today.  This dr said that the floater warrants surgery to remove it.  I'm planning to have that this Thursday.  Hopefully I will be back to normal very soon!  In addition to that, my 91 year old mother is requiring an increased level of care.  If you've ever dealt with someone with dementia you can understand how difficult it can be.  I'm trying to keep her close as long as I possibly can.  I'm the only living child so it's all up to me!  So if you wonder why I don't post everyday just realize that some days take all my energy mentally and physically to get through!  I love stamping so I will do as much as I can when I can!  It will always be here for me when I can get back to it but my mother needs me now!

Punched lamb!

I found this cute little lamb while checking out the blogs awhile back!  I found that there are several versions of this card by googling for ideas.  Most of my ideas come from a card on StampinwithFanny.  I'm putting together a tutorial for the finished card!  Watch your email for this!  Below is a diagram of the punched pieces that I used.  If you are not on my email list go to www.lindareaney.stampinup.net and request my newsletter.

I'm currently having internet problems due to my router getting fried from a lightening strike.  I hope to get things going again soon.  In the meantime, I'm borrowing my daughters internet!

Technique Tuesday!

I've borrowed a photo from my upline, Carol Payne.  She participates in a monthly swap and always gets some neat cards!  This one is by Renee Watson using a sentiment from Perfect Pennants and the Petite Petals with the rock and roll technique. The ribbon is Pumpkin Pie Chevron and the tempting Turquoise card base is embossed with Chevron Textured Embossing folder.

Don't let these great bargains pass you by!
