Wildflower Meadow and Petite Petals!

After searching through magazines and the new Stampin'Up! Catalogs I was able to gain enough inspiration to stamp this perky card!  I've been looking for swap ideas for the upcoming leadership conference but panic mode has been getting in my way of creating!  That's what happens when you get past Christmas and suddenly realize that leadership is next week and there are "0" swaps ready!

I used the background stamp Wildflower Meadow, matching embossing folder and 4 of the newest incolors, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Canteloupe and Coastal Cabana.  Also, for the little punched flowers I used the new Occasions set, Petite Petals and Petite Petals Punch.  I added some dazzling Diamonds and a tiny pearl for the hummingbird's eye.  The sentiment is stamped in the 5th in color,  Baked Brown Sugar.

Real Red and Coastal Cabana!

I'm still playing with the new set Happy Water Color.  I really like this combination of Real Red and Coastal Cabana!  I used 1/4" strips of the designer paper from the DSP stack in the new Occasions Catalog to frame the floral panel.  The flowers are watercolored with the aqua painter and pad ink.  The sentiment is from Label Love and is punched with the Artisan punch.  The background was embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder which will be available for free during the Sale A Bration promotion starting January 28th.  For each $50 in merchandise you purchase during this promotion you can choose an item free from the SAB Catalog.  Since the new Occasions catalog will be available on January 3rd it won't be hard to find wonderful new products to purchase!

More Happy Watercolor!

I managed a little time to work on another card today!  I like this one a lot and it might make the cut to be one of my swaps for leadership!  It is again Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral cardstock and ink with a little Gumball Green ink on the stems and leaves!  The embossing folder is a Sale A Bration item that will be free with a $50 order during the promotion starting the last part of January!  The stamp set is Happy Watercolor from the new Occasions catalog.

Love, love, love it!

Thank you notes!

Well, can you believe it, Christmas is here and soon all that wrapping paper will be in pile and headed to the trash!  I hope you received some nice gifts and made some good memories!  Now you are gonna need some thank you notes.  Look at these simple yet rich looking cards created by the Artisan team using strips of coordinating cardstock and designer series paper.  They've even used the envelope liners to give that finished look!

Merry Christmas to all!

New stamps!

I have wrapped the last present and sent the last card!  I thought it was time to allow myself some time in my stamp room to play with my Christmas presents!  Yes, I already have mÿ Christmas!  My husband finds it easier to let me pick out my own presents and of course that just screams new stampin' goodies!  Especially, when I can preorder from the new Occasions catalog!

This is Happy Watercolor and It is one of my all time favorites because it has this poppy stamp in it!  It was a nice change to pull out some Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral cardstock and ink after looking at so much red and green, lately!  It gives me hope that spring might roll around again!

While playing with the new stuff, I'm searching for some ideas that won't be too hard so I can make my swaps for leadership!  When making 25 or 50 cards, you have to consider how many steps it takes to make them!  This one shouldn't be too hard so it's in the running!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas this week!  Stay warm and safe!

Gift Card Holder!

Not much time left now until Christmas!  I'll be glad to get through it and start my countdown to spring!

Here's a quick look at a gift card holder using the envelope liners that was designed by the Artisan team at Stampin'Up!

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Santa's List!

I've been busy getting presents wrapped, decorations finished and a few presents that I'm making, completed!  So not much new stamping going on but soon I will get out the occasions preorder goodies and create something!  I have to get serious and get some swaps done for leadership because it's coming up very soon!

How about another Christmas card!  This is a swap that my upline, Carol Payne, received recently.  The card is by Kathy Morgan.  She used the Santa's List stamp from the holiday catalog.  Lots of Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green make this a very cheery and festive card!

Don't forget about all these great specials goin on until Monday night!

Last minute Christmas ideas!

How about a quick banner for a festive touch in your house?  If you have one of the banner kits laying around, you could use the banner pieces as your base and decorate with Designer Series Paper and a few snowflakes, flower punches and letters!  If not, just cut some banner flags from Designer Series Paper or cardstock and decorate, then string on twine or yarn!

How about these easy gift bags! Make use of that Washi tape to make a Christmas tree shape on a plain brown bag!  How cute!  If you happen to have the expressions thinlets, how easy it will be to cut out words and decorate your bags!  If you don't have those (you still have time to get them before they go away!) stamp some words on the bag or on scrap paper and punch or cut out to attach to the bag!  Decorate with your Washi tape for the finishing touch!  You could add pictures like in the sample or some other stamped shapes!  Have fun and be creative!

Some last minute Christmas ideas!

Are you looking to dress up your Christmas table?  Here's a cute and simple idea from the Artisan team using designer series paper!  If you have any of the Christmas paper stacks, this will be super easy!  If not, then you will need to cut rectangles large enough for spoons and forks to fit into!  These were actually stitched up on the sewing machine!  Add a stamped word or cut out using the expressions thinlets found in the holiday catalog to add the finishing touch!  Perfect, Christmas made easy!

Oh, do you need a last minute Christmas card?  Look at this great card!  More Artisan team genius!  It is made with Washi tape and window sheet.  The tree looks like it is made with pennants from the perfect pennant Bigz die.  The little punched stars are strung on Baker's twine on the window sheet layer!  Wonderful!  Hope I can get time to make this card and send it to someone before Christmas!

Stamp A Stack!

Well, between nasty weather and the usual winter creeping crud that I caught, I was not able to have my class and Stamp a Stack that I planned on having this past Saturday!  We also had a death in the family and it's extra draining and hard to have to walk on snow and ice to get into a cemetery!  It's been hard to have much Christmas spirit!  I'm hoping to get back on track and possibly have at least a couple of stampers on Thursday and maybe some others by appointment!  I still need to get Christmas decorations out!  Good grief, I am behind!

I thought I would just show you all the neat projects together that you can make for $3 each (2 of each) or get 5 sets free for a $35 order!

I just love this card with the Santa suit!  Notice his belt buckle is made with the 2 curly label punches!

This is an all crumb cake card that my upline made from something similar that she found on the internet!  Who would have thought you could use only one color of cardstock and get such a neat effect!  It is beautifully highlighted with Cherry Cobbler dazzling details!

How about this cute little melting snowman card!  Use your circle punches and the face and arms from Snowday (available in the holiday catalog for just a short time more!)

This card is made with the Dress-up framelets, ovals framelets and the scallop circle punch.  What a cute Mrs. Claus dress!

What a cute way to remember your coworkers or Sunday school friends with a little hot cocoa holder and ribbon bearing candy cane!  It's easy, too!

This is a unique luminaria card that you really won't want to mail!  It needs a battery operated votive to get the full effect!  The vellum covered opening on the front is made with the festive flurry framelets and has an embossed nativity from the Best of Christmas set!  Yes! You can emboss on vellum!

Here's that cute little angel again, made with the bow maker bigs die!  I will have supplies available to make this adorable little creature of the sky!  You can't have too many angels hanging around!

I will also have my black and white card class available for anyone who wants to come!  We will see how my week shapes up and hopefully Thursday and Saturday will be open for stamping!

More black and white!

The weather is not cooperating with me at all when it comes to scheduling stamping events!  We have gotten more snow and likely will get more during the night!  Guess I will try again next Saturday!  Running out of weekends before Christmas!  Anyway, if you can't make it but want these cards just let me know!

This card uses the black DSP out of the neutrals paper stack.  The chevron design really jumps out at you!  I've continued the theme by embossing the white layer with the chevron embossing folder.  An elegant card that has versatility with congratulations that can mean graduation or birthday time!  Just change your verse inside to suit the occasion.

Lovin this very vanilla and black butterfly card which was cased from an artisan team creation.  The DSP is the music sheet from a Modern Medley vanilla and white collection!

The trust God verse is stamped, then put back in the decorative label punch to make a custom shape and then matted on a black punched layer.

Hope you are in a warm place and can do some stamping soon!  Also, hoping spring is not as far away as I think it is!

Luminaria card!

I just think this is the neatest card!  My upline, Carol Payne, found this somewhere and made this sample and took the photos!  I have made my own sample from the directions and plan to offer it Saturday at my stamp a stack/Black and White card class!  The weather forecast is not cooperating with me at all and is calling for a wintry mix Friday into Saturday!  I guess we will see what happens!

But back to this card!  It uses the festive flurry framelets and Best of Christmas stamp set!  The front is embossed with the wood grain embossing folder and has a vellum layer with the embossed nativity scene!  This allows you to put a battery operated votive behind it and the light accents the nativity!

Here's a side view of the card showing the votive candle.

Black and White cards

Here are two of the cards I have ready for Saturdays black and white card class!  It's amazing how elegant these two colors look on a card!  This one is a my digital studio hybrid!  I was able to purchase the stamp brush image and print it on Whisper White cardstock for this card.  This image is also an embossing folder available in the main catalog!  I discovered it when I received a swap at convention this past summer.  I've also used the beautifully baroque embossing folder to add elegance to this card!

The swap I used as inspiration for this card was also a hybrid but the card we are making is all stamped with ink from the black Stazon pad!  It's so easy to switch back and forth with these cards to suit what you have on hand or whether or not you want to add a Digital component!  I used the Apothecary Art set and the labels framelets!  Notice that the Happy Birthday layer is curved perfectly to fit the stamped layer!  I just stamped on a strip of cardstock, then cut the edges using the labels framelet again!  Great, easy stuff!

So, don't forget to check out the clearance rack additions and the weekly sales!  We can still get items in time for Christmas and Stampin'Up! makes great gifts for crafters!

Fun with Christmas!

This was quite an undertaking but I accepted the challenge to make 100 cards for a former colleague and get them to her by Friday!  I finished up 50 Christmas and 50 thank you's in her sorority colors!  This was not an easy undertaking since I needed to borrow some of the cardstock from my upline and getting to her could be a problem!  Friday brought us the biggest snowstorm that we've had in years and made the roads treacherous!  On top of that, I've not been feeling well!  I managed to get the cardstock and persevered until the job was finished!  I think she will enjoy these cards!

Hopefully I will be able to get back in the routine tomorrow after sending off the shipment of cards and start showing you things I have made!  In the meantime, here's a cute little idea from the Artisan team using the chalk talk framelets and Fun with Christmas set!  How fun would these be for kids to make for all the family gifts!  So easy, just stamp, color and add a little ribbon or bakers twine!

Snowflake soirée!

Heres a very simple card stamped in gold metallic ink (encore pad) with snowflake soirée on Soft Sky cardstock!  The DSP is Winter Frost layered over champaign glimmer paper!  The thank you is from perfectly penned set.  I made 10 of these for a friend whose granddaughter is getting married and she needed thank you cards!  I found inspiration on another blog and think the way they turned out are just gorgeous!

Two quick Christmas cards!

Well, thankfully we did not lose power for more than a few seconds today!  I wouldn't have been surprised if we were freezing our toes off about now but we are warm and the snow has finally stopped!  The lovely storm left somewhere close to 14", with our county having the dubious honor of the deepest snow fall!  With that I give you a melting snowman card!  There won't be any melting snowmen here until next weekend, but, oh, isn't he cute!  I've seen these around on the internet and decided to make this one of the stamp a stack cards for next Saturday since it was so quick to whip up!  I used Shimmery White cardstock for the base since it has a bit more body than traditional whisper white.  2 1/2", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4" circle punches were used for the circles and the Winter Frost paper stack is used for the cute little snowflake strip!  Another great use of the Snowday set from the holiday catty!

The next easy, easy stamp a stack card is a Mr. Santa Claus suit card!  The colors are real red, black, silver and champagne glimmer paper!  I used the big and petite curly label punches to make the belt buckle and 1/2" circle punch for the buttons!  The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set!

Well hope you are staying warm and dry tonight!  I'm off to bed!

Hot chocolate holder!

Im going to try to get this post in for the day!  Our power lines are not happy with a constant assault of sleet and freezing rain coming down on them since noon!  We've already had a flash of power going off but maybe I can get it in before anything else happens!

I found this cute little hot chocolate pouch on the blog of a demo from another country but I've seen similar things in other places.  It is made from half a sheet of 8 1/2"  x 11" real red cardstock cut the long and skinny way.  Then the rounded section at the lip of the "cup" is formed with an ovals framelet.  The handle is made by using the squares framelet, laying one inside the other when cutting.  The labels is the Tags 4 You set and bracket punch!  I tied the festive bow on the candy cane with Cherry cobbler chevron ribbon, which by the way is great stuff!  The sides are sealed with sticky tape!

The corners are rounded using the new envelope punch board!

Not hard to make!  I give it 2 thumbs up and will be creating a few for Christmas treats!

Let it snow!

And snow is what it sounds like we are gonna get!  Not to mention a bunch of ice which I hate!  That is the one thing that will knock out my internet! If I am missing for a few days, that's what has happened.  Here's hoping this storm moves or changes a bit and we miss the ice.  A little snow is ok but NO ice!

I'm still not 100% well from the creepin crud and have only 1 more day of antibiotics.  Hoping I will be able to stamp something tomorrow.  In the meantime, there are plenty of goodies from the Artisan Team to keep you inspired!

These are great package tags or ornaments made with the Festive Flurries bundle!  A little ribbon, sparkle and bling brings them to life!  So, so pretty!  You need this stamp set and matching framelet, it's a classic!  Get it before it's gone at the end of the month.

Here's another elegant card using the Festive Flurries framelets,  I love this color combination of real red and costal cabana with some silver glimmer paper thrown in.  Then there's that little finishing touch of Baker's twine.  Speaking of Bakers twine, what a great product!  It's cheap and you get a bunch of it.  Such a bargain!

Switching gears a bit, here is one of our single stamps, Prince of Peace, that we have for the holidays! It uses the Deco label framelet set to make cutting out shapes a breeze!  I always love the combo of blue and silver!  This is sure a winner and wouldn't be hard to reproduce!

So run on over to www.lindareaney.stampinup.net and click on shop and go to my online store and get these and other wonderful products for your Christmas card making and other Christmas projects!

Let's look at the possibilities of MyDigitalStudio!

Well, I finally purchased the updated version of MDS!  I began to see all these neat projects popping up and decided it was time!  I've gotten it loaded onto my new laptop and even ordered a download!  It's a flower garden brush stamp set!  I'm going to try a hybrid card for an upcoming stamp camp!

Now look at this adorable festive snowman set created with the snowday brush stamp set!  Wow, a gift bag and matching card!  How completely adorable!

The neat thing about the MDS program is that you can enlarge the images as you wish to fill up space! After you print your projects or have them sent off to print, you add actual embellishments to them including ribbon, brads, rhinestones, candy dots, dazzling diamonds or whatever you please!  This is just the cutest!

Here's the interesting thing about this project is that the artist put the back end of the snowman on both the card and gift bag!  I'm not sure of all the how to's right now but if you go to the front page of www.stampinup.com you can see this project and others and read more about it!

I'm finding out that it really isn't as complicated as I thought it was and it can be learned quickly.  There are lots of resources on how to and for projects!

Maybe this would make a great Christmas present for the avid scrapbooker in your life, or maybe yourself!  Send someone to www.lindareaney.stampinup.net and shop!  Then create an account and order either the disc or the download for $19.95!  It's a gift that keeps on giving!!

More goodies from Stampin'Up!

Well, I'm still coughing my head off but the fever is gone!  I can't stay up long or I have coughing spasms and sometimes it happens when I'm laying down!  Hoping for a better day tomorrow but that will depend on whether or not the prednisone will let me sleep!  I've had no sleep in over 27 hrs and still not sleepy!  Wow, too bad I don't feel like stamping, what a marathon that would be!

This first cutie is a cookie holder that my fantastic upline, Carol Payne, either created or found on the internet, not sure since I can't talk to her without a coughing spasm!  Isn't it cute!  You could make a bunch of these to decorate everything and give to friends at the office, people at church or maybe teachers!  Who wouldn't like a home baked cookie!?

Here's a snowflake made with parts from the Christmas banner accessory kit but if you have that XL bigs rosette die, you can use what you have on hand!  Why not some festive flurries snowflakes for the center?  Add some dazzling diamonds and a rhinestone! Wow great tree or package decoration!  Not to mention quick and easy!  If you have the simply scored you can score the rosette, just not as quickly as with the die!

And it wouldn't be complete without a lovely card from the Artisan team by Carol Beard!  I couldn't find a website so don't know details but there was a comment about paper pumpkin and I see some recycled cardboard on there, too!  Use your imagination and go wild!
