Embossing Folders

I decided to show 3 swaps today that I received at convention.  Each of these shows a sampling of an embossing folder.  Embossing folders are a great and inexpensive way to add texture and interest to your cards!  The first card by Dana Hancock, shows the Perfect Polka Dots folder on Bermuda Bay cardstock.  The stamp sets are Mixed Bunch and Simply Sketched.

The next card by Karen Riska is a nice example of the new Alphabet Press folder on Gumball Green cardstock.  It also shows the Chevron folder on the Summer Starfruit panel.

On the third card check out this neat new folder, Modern Mosaics!  This card was created by Michelle Waletzko.  She used a very pleasing combination of Island Indigo and Pool Party spiced up with a little Quatrefancy Designer Paper!

Beautiful butterflies!

Here's a gorgeous card I made at a recent stamp camp at my upline's house!  The butterflies are from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and the Bigshot!  They've been embossed with white embossing powder and the Delicate Doilies stamp set.  The background is embossed with the Bigshot and the new Mosaic embossing folder! The colors are Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede, such a lovely combination!

Fall swaps!

I have had several requests from my customers to make this card at a class!  Isn't this a great card?  I received in a recent monthly swap and the creator was Susan Carpenter!  It shows how easy it is to create texture with the core'dinations cardstock by embossing and sanding it.  Susan used some of the beautiful Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper from the Holiday catalog along with lots of ribbon and topped it off with one of our gorgeous Naturals Designer buttons!

Hope you can come stamp with us in October when Mystery Stamp Class will feature fall cards!

Convention swaps!

I'm sharing a few more convention swaps today since I've spent my time getting ready today for my craft fair tomorrow!  I realize these are not the best pictures but I thought the Oreo cookie card would make up for that!  How neat would it be to make this cute cookie card for some deserving youngster's birthday!  Looks like they used the biggest scalloped circle framelet and then embossed it!  Just too cute!  I like that top row card using an edgelet and butterfly punch.  How simple yet elegant!  I'm also fond of the floral card in shades of purple.  I remember fondly the times spent at convention with fellow demos, sister demos and my downline!  I'm looking forward to the next big event which is leadership!  Would you like to get in on the fun?  Ask me about joining our demo team and get in on the good times.  Hope to see you tomorrow at Mulkeytown at the craft fair!

Autumn Accents Bigz Die Fall Wreath!

Finally found a few minutes to finish this fun a Fall Wreath in between my grandma duties of delivering Brooklyn to daycare and picking her up!  I'm going to offer a class if anyone might be interested in learning to make these darling wreaths!  I will announce a date soon for those interested.

I used some tiny clothes pins and generic twine to make the "banner" but other than the frame those are the only nonstampin' Up! items that I used for this project.  The clothespins are actually retired SU! product but can be found in hobby stores.

I used champagne glimmer paper and tag shapes from Hearts A Flutter Framelets to create the banner letters.  An alphabet die is available to use with your Bigshot for lettering!  If you stop by my table at the vendor fair at the old Mulkeytown Grade School Saturday you can see this wreath up close!

Fall Wreath

I've started working on my wreath project!  It's not finished yet but I have a good start on it!  I'm hoping to add some finishing touches tomorrow.  The idea came from the 2013-2014 Stampin'Up! Catalog.  Since you can cut several layers of cardstock and designer paper at one time with the Bigshot,  it doesn't take long to cut the leaves for this project.  I used several colors of cardstock including Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Cajun Crazy and Eastern Elegance designer series paper.  I used textured impressions folders to create the different designs on the leaves.  More details coming tomorrow! Hope you like it!

Owl treat holders!

A big thank you to Carol Payne, my upline, for finding these cute little owl candy holders and sharing with me!  So easy that I made 8 of them in no time!  What a cute project to make for a Pre-k or daycare class!  I'm making them for a craft fair this weekend. I used 1 1/4" scallop, 1" and 3/4" circle punches for the eyes and highlighted with the chalk marker now available in the Holiday catalog!  The tag is made with the Tags 4 you stamp set and matching bracket punch.  Check out the holiday catalog for this Halloween themed Witches Brew designer series paper!

I found the other cute little Hershey bar holders on Becky Robert's Inking Idaho blog.  They are made with the Chalk Talk framelets and the same Witches Brew DSP and pumpkin pie cardstock.  They are topped off with some of the great new black chevron ribbon!

Check out www.lindareaney.stampinup.net to shop for these and other great products from Stampin'Up!

Christmas Banners!

As I promised, here's a picture of my Christmas banner.  I hope you like my version of the banner!  The only thing I added that wasn't in the kit are the little snowflakes that I cut with the Festive Flurry framelets and of course some hot glue.  All of the rosettes, die cuts and ribbon are in the accessory kit!  It was a very easy project and went together quickly!  I hope you'll give it a try or let me know if you would be interested in a class.  We can get together and you can get ready for those holidays that are gonna be here before you know it!  Just let me know so I can order you supplies.

Tags 4 you!

Tags 4 you is a versatile stamp set with a matching punch!  The Bracket punch and Tags 4 You set are both available in the Holiday catalog.  How cute and simple to add this bundle to the new label flip card framelet set for easy card making!  I found the trick or treat card at Carol Payne's house.  Not sure where she got it since she is involved in several swaps and always has lots of great cards around!

It's been a busy weekend with my Mystery Card Class, which was lots of fun with my wonderful stampers, and babysitting my 4 yr old granddaughter!  She has way more energy than I do and needs less sleep!  Not a good combination..lol!  I'm thinking I need to double my vitamins!

You can still get in the stamp club to get your free stampin goodies!  Next month will be fall cards.  Call me today!

A little sneak peak into a future Mystery card class!  I love these black and vanilla or white cards.  They are so classy looking!  This one features that great papillon potpourri set that is 15% off this month when purchased in a bundle with the small butterfly punch.  This card also has some of our beautiful designer series paper, lace trim and paper doilies!  The stamp sets are Flowering Flourishes and God's Blessings.  I can't take credit for this masterpiece.  It is from SU!'s artisan team member, Mercedes Weber.  I hope you like it and will join us for a fun stamping night soon.  It's not too late to get into a club where you will enjoy hostess benefits without hosting a party!  Call me today for a spot or just a one time stamp class!

Gently Falling and new orange glitter!

I just couldn't wait to play with the new orange glitter in the holiday catalog!  I saw this card on the Stampin' Up artisan post and had to make a case of it!  I used versamark to stamp gently falling leaves on early espresso cardstock and then sprinkled heat and stick powder over it.  I made sure I used my embossing buddy over the cardstock before I stamped!  That helps to keep the glitter off of places it doesn't belong!  Next I heated the heat and stick powder with the heat tool.  Then I sprinkled the orange glitter over the card.  After the images were well covered, I heated again with the heat too.  I added some of the new burlap ribbon, a button and linen thread then layered on Pumpkin Pie cardstock!  I can see this card showing up at mystery stamp class in the near future!  Hope to see YOU there!

Monthly swap with Festive Flurries!

Another month has gone by so here are my Christmas swaps!  Lots of cutting with the bigshot was involved but the results are well worth it!  My inspiration for this card was from a card Shelli showed at convention.  I used the new label flip card thinlets and Festive Flurries stamps and framelets to make this interesting card!  Silver glimmer paper and narrow ribbon along with rhinestones and designer paper add the finishing touches!

New Single Stamps!

My son, Scott, with his cat, ninja, after 9 months of deployment to Afghanistan !  Most cats would forget someone after being gone that long and need to get reacquainted but Scott picked ninja up and he started purring and rubbing all over him!  He knew his "daddy" was home!

Warning!  Christmas is closer than you think!

Check out these new single stamps that are now available from Stampin'Up!  They are much larger than the images!  I just received the 2 that I ordered so stay tuned for new creations!

Black an White sympathy card!

This was an esay black and white card that I made to swap at the Stampin'Up! convention back in July.  I used the new Morning Meadow background stamp with white craft ink on black card stock! I then cut out part of the image with Oval Accent clear Bigz die using the Bigshot.  I also embossed the white layer with the dotted embossing folder.  The greeting is punched then turned and repunched with the decorative label punch!  All wonderful products from Stampin'Up! Which your can buy from me by going to www.lindareaney.stampinup.net and click on shop now!

Well I'm off to a family reunion but hope to get back to my stampin tomorrow!  I am seriously having withdrawal especially since I have a box of brand new goodies waiting on me that came Friday!  See ya later!

Another swallowtail card and Georgia on my mind!

This is my son, Scott and his wife Amanda in front of their home in Georgia about a week after is return from his 9 month deployment to Afghanistan!  What a happy reunion it was and what a wonderful week that I spent with them!  Wish I could beam myself down there from Illinois to spend a day with them!

Here they are posing in a park in Savannah!  He is stationed at ft. Stewart!

Here's the swallowtail card we made back in the spring at one of my stamp camps!  The technique is faux diamonds.  It is a very easy technique using versamark ink brayered over the card and embossed with a mixture of irridescent ice embossing powder and dazzling diamonds!  Very striking!  Hope you stamped something fun today!
