Simply Pressed Clay

How cute is this card with the Simply Pressed Clay flower centers.  You press the clay into little molds and pop in the freezer for a few minutes to help it release cleanly, then air dry for 24 hrs.  There are lots of ways to color these cute little flowers!  I used marker on the Blushing Bride one and an aqua painter dipped in pad ink for the Perfect Plum flower!  Very nice touch I think, for an already cute card that I made at my upline, Carol Payne's house awhile back.  I finished it at home with different stamps!  I love the these two soft calming pastel colors!  Hope you get to stamp something today!  I will be babysitting my 4 year old granddaughter while mommy goes to a coworker's funeral.  They just got back from vacation and I'm sure she will be full of stories!  Can't wait to see her!

More Swaps!

I thought this was a cute Christmas card!  It uses the hello doily background stamp with white embossing powder and some simple punched shapes for the angel.  The wings are made with the beautiful wings bigz die and the body is the petite pennant builder punch with a couple of circles for the head.  All it needs is a greeting!  I love to make Christmas cards all year round then I don't panic when the Christmas rush hits and I don't have time to make them!

Join me in late September for a mystery card class to add a variety of cards to your collection.  You can add stamps and other essentials to your collection while collecting cards for all occasions.  Get some free product and learn new techniques, too!  Contact me today to get your spot!

More convention swaps!

At the end of convention we got together in our hotel room and took pictures of each others swaps.  Here are 4 really neat swaps that one of my friends traded for.  I love the little vw bug, I must case that card soon!  The swallowtail spotlighting card is very nice too!  The wetlands set is one of my favorites and I have loved everything I've seen made with it!  The baby card says it all...CUTE!

Be sure to sign up for my mystery card club even if you are too far away to come, you can receive your card kits in the mail.  You could be making some of these beauties from the swap collection!

Convention swap cards!

Here are 2 of the great swaps that my friends traded for at SU! Convention this past July!  The card on the left uses some of the beautiful Gingham Garden washi tape and the pansy punch.  The cute little punched bridal card on the right makes use of the beautiful wings Bigz die!  What a neat idea to make the wedding dress out of butterflies.  If you join my mystery card club you just might be making these cards in the near future!  If you can commit to a $25 SU! order each month for 6 months you can either make the cards or I will send you the kits with your order.  One of the 6 months you will be the hostess and get a minimum of $25 in free product!  When it is your turn to be hostess you can increase your order or get outside orders to increase your hostess dollars!  Free stuff is always good!  Give me a call, don't delay....618-559-3785.

Festive flurry!

I found this card on Nancy Riley's Ipick blog and fell in love with it!  It's really quite simple to make when you have framelets working for you!  I love these new festive flurry framelets and stamp set!  I'm not sure what we did before we had framelets!  I guess we used our scissors a lot more....lol!  This card also features the new metallic silver ink pad...there's also a gold metallic pad available.  Of course,  there's silver and gold glitter to match!  As you can see, there is a little of the silver glitter in the middle of the hanging snowflake.  Easy, easy, easy!  Make an appointment today to learn how to make this card.  Happy stamping!

Bleached swallowtail

Another swallowtail card!  I stamped the swallowtail in versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  Next I took a cotton swab dipped in bleach and went over the entire butterfly.  This is island indigo card stock which bleaches to a color close to So Saffron!  This is a fun technique to do because each color of cardstock has a different "bleached" color!  Lets get together and do this technique soon!

Pieced Santa with Expressions Thinlits!

I love the way this cute little Santa card turned out!  I was looking for a quilted card and ran across a Santa quilt block that was made from triangles.  This Santa is easily made with the petite pennant punch and Season of Style designer series paper.  The eyes, nose and hat pompon or made with circles from the owl and cupcake builder punches.  I took snippets from the edge of the cupcake frosting to form eyebrows and mustache.  The MERRY is cut from the new gold foil paper and new Expression Thinlits.  The embossed layer was made with the new In color, Baked Brown Sugar and the new Baroque embossing folder.  I have a couple of ladies coming to stamp on Tuesday, give me a call to come join us!

Halloween cards!

Just finished my swaps for the monthly swap I am participating in!  The theme is Halloween or Fall.  I thought this cute little stamp from the Best of Halloween 25th anniversary series was just screaming to be in the swap.  I used some new Halloween designer series paper along with the houndstooth embossing folder!  I used ink from stamp pads and the aqua painter to do the "color wash" over the image!  I really like the end result, might even use it in my Sept stamping class!
